High-Speed Video Microscopy Without Motion Blur

The DeCellerator is a high-speed brightfield video microscopy system designed for imaging fast-moving biological and microfluidic processes.

By synchronizing a high-speed camera with microsecond LED light pulses, motion blur is suppressed — even at frame rates up to 10,000 frames per second.

This enables the visualization of rapid dynamics in extreme slow motion.

Synchronized Microsecond Illumination

Conventional video microscopy suffers from motion blur when imaging fast objects.
The DeCellerator eliminates this limitation by:

  • synchronizing a high-speed CMOS camera

  • with pulsed microsecond LED flashes

  • precisely coordinated with frame acquisition

This results in sharp images of rapidly moving objects without streaking artifacts.

Conventional video microscopy records fast-moving objects with motion blur because the exposure time is too long.

The DeCellerator solves this by synchronizing:

Each frame is illuminated only for a few microseconds — effectively freezing motion, even at high flow velocities.
